Hello Hawk Family! My name is Kayla Jefferson. I am honored to be the MMS 7th Grade Assistant Principal and Athletic Director.

In my nine years as an educator, I have taught various general science courses including Life Science, Physical Science and Earth and Space Science. I began my volleyball coaching career in 2011 and I have coached age groups ranging from the age of eight to eighteen. I consider myself a life-long learner and I am proud to have been selected as one of the Madison County School's Teachers of the Year for the 23-24 school year. I am a graduate of THE GREAT Alabama A&M University. I also earned a second B.S. in Health Science from Purdue University before completing my M.Ed in Instructional Leadership at the University of West Alabama.

My husband, Carl and I are blessed with four wonderful children. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, decorating, singing, and coaching travel volleyball. I also serve as a Youth Ministry leader at my church.

I truly believe that God has called me to pour into the lives of our future leaders and I am blessed to be able to do so. I am excited to serve MMS students and the Monrovia Community.
