School counselors are vital members of the education team. They help all students in the areas of academic achievement, personal/social development and career development, ensuring today's students become the productive, well-adjusted adults of tomorrow.

About MMS Guidance
The Guidance and Counseling program addresses the needs of each student by utilizing leadership, advocacy, and collaboration, school counselors promote student success, provide preventive services and instruction in the classroom, and respond to identified student needs by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses academic, career, and personal/social development for all students.
Counselors are available to all students by appointment or on a walk-in basis. Parents are asked to make an appointment to avoid waiting for help.
Your conversations with a counselor will be held in confidence with the following exceptions:
- Threat of harm to oneself
- Threat of harm to another
- Any report of abuse
